Is the GitHub status feed on this board actually live?
Yes — the template's data widget is pre-wired to the public GitHub status API and shows the current indicator. Swap the URL and JSON path for your own status page, uptime monitor, or incident tool to watch your stack instead. Live data sources require the Business plan.
Do we need special hardware in the engineering office?
No. Cast the board to whatever TV is already mounted — Chromecast, Fire TV, Apple TV, or any smart TV browser. The split-flap animation renders at 60 FPS in browser canvas, so an incident flipping from "none" to "major" is impossible to miss.
Can the board switch layouts during an active incident?
Yes. Keep a calm default scene and add an incident scene with bigger counters and the bridge-call details, each with its own duration. Reorder or trim scenes when the incident starts, and the display rotates through the new lineup unattended.
How do we keep the on-call names and deploy notes current?
The on-call ticker ("primary: alex", "secondary: sam") and deploy ticker are editable lists — update them from the editor at each rotation, and every TV playing the board picks up the change. No re-casting or restart needed on the screen itself.
