DENTAL OFFICE QUEUE BOARD

A dental office queue board that shows when the next chair opens, how far appointments are running behind, and rotating front-desk notes. A next-chair widget counts down through morning slots like 09:00 and 09:45, a counter shows the practice running 4 minutes late, and a ticker cycles reminders about forms, the kids' prize box, and rescheduling by text.

QUESTIONS
How does the front desk update the running-late counter?

From any browser: open the board, tap the late counter, and change 4 minutes to the real delay — the waiting room TV flips to the new value right away. The same editor updates the next-chair slot times when the day's schedule shifts.

Can chair openings come straight from Dentrix or our scheduler?

If your practice software can publish slot data as JSON, a Business-plan data widget reads it and the next-chair line updates itself as appointments book and cancel. Practices without an integration simply keep the time list current by hand.

Can the board show hygiene reminders between queue updates?

Yes — add a second scene with flossing tips, whitening offers, or insurance-season reminders, and set durations so the queue scene dominates while the education scene rotates in briefly. The board cycles scenes unattended all day.

Our waiting room TV is small — will the text be readable?

Resize the grid to suit the screen: cutting the default 10x36 down to about 7x28 enlarges every flap, so "next chair" times read clearly from across a compact waiting room. Rows and columns are editable any time after forking.
