CLINIC WAIT TIME BOARD

A clinic waiting room board that shows the current estimated wait, how many patients are in the queue, and rotating check-in reminders. Defaults display an 18-minute wait in orange, 6 patients queued, and a ticker flipping through prompts like "check in at desk" and "insurance cards ready". Patients stop asking the front desk how much longer.

QUESTIONS
Can the wait time update from our practice management system?

Yes, if it can expose queue stats as JSON — on the Business plan a data widget polls the endpoint and the wait-time digits flip within a second of a change. Clinics without a feed have front desk staff nudge the number between check-ins; it takes seconds.

Does the board show any patient information?

No — the template shows only aggregate numbers: minutes of estimated wait and a count of patients in queue. The ticker holds general reminders you write yourself, so nothing personal appears on the waiting room TV. You control every character on the board.

Can we use the TV that already plays daytime television?

Yes. Any TV with a browser or a streaming stick — Chromecast, Fire TV, Apple TV — can open the board's URL. Many clinics split duties: the board plays during peak hours, and staff switch inputs back to TV when the queue is empty.

What is the cost for a small practice?

Building and adjusting the board is free, so you can trial the layout before committing. Live playback in the waiting room starts at $8/mo, with no signage hardware, installer visit, or per-screen license on top.
